Kyah, Bitches!

This was a piece I cooked up one night at SDCC as a panel replacement for a portfolio piece I wasn't at all happy with. Now, I've been accused of many things in my "career" and, looking back, this was probably a bit too titillating even for the biz. I was very happy with the kinetics of it, but in the end, it was just to boobalicious. Still, it's nice to look at. Enjoy.

  1. and enjoy I did. The kenetics here are great as you said, it is a bit boobtacular, but meh, its still a fantastic piece of work.

  2. I don't see how an industry that includes the likes of Power Girl and Jim Balent would possibly reject that particular drawing as "too boobalicious." Honestly, in my view, it's pretty restrained, because Bliss' breasts are in proportion to the rest of her body. They fit her frame. She's a big girl.

Another point: the boobs aren't even the focus of the sketch. How many millions of comic covers and panels have been drawn in a way that allows for just as much visibility of a character's plunging neckline as it does the character's face?

I would imagine the real problem isn't her chest, but that you draw in what would be perceived as an "anime" style by the industry as a whole, even though that's not the case at all. "Big boobs" are just an excuse.
